Martin’s Trading Post to collect non-perishable food donations, partner with Regional Oklahoma Food Bank to provide local families with food
CHEYENNE, Okla., June 18— Martin’s Trading Post and The Britt Hunt Company (TBHC), a provider of superior service and outstanding pizza to over 3,000 stores spanning 14 states in the Southern and Midwest United States, have partnered together to help the hungry in Cheyenne along with the Regional Oklahoma Food Bank's Food for Kids program.
One in five children in the U.S. are food insecure, according to Feeding America. When school lets out for summer, many children are no longer provided breakfast and lunch.
The drive for non-perishable food items will take place at Martin’s Trading Post beginning June 26 through July 11. Visitors to Martin’s can bring non-perishable food items or purchase them in-store and donate at the donation box at checkout. Martin’s has worked with the Regional Oklahoma Food Bank's Food for Kids program to coordinate the drive and will deliver reusable grocery bags of food to children and families in need in Cheyenne.
Guests who participate in the food drive will also receive a coupon for a free hunk of Hunt Brothers pizza upon return to the store.
